A 15-year-old student was shot dead by his 16-year-old classmate at a coaching centre in Mawana town area in the district, police said today

Meerut: A 15-year-old student was shot dead by his 16-year-old classmate at a coaching centre in Mawana town area in the district, police said today.

The deceased has been identified as Shadab, a resident of Kheri Manihar village. The incident took place last evening when Shadab was standing along with other students in the premises of the coaching centre at Kila Road.


Police said that the teenager succumbed to his injuries on his way to hospital. On a complaint filed by Shadab's father, a case of murder has been lodged against the accused in connection with the incident.



The accused has been identified as Aamir, a resident of Sathla village who studies at the same coaching center.The exact cause of the incident has not yet been ascertained and police is trying to nab the absconding accused.
