An 18-year-old girl student allegedly committed suicide by setting herself ablaze after a fellow-student reportedly stalked her frequently professing his love for her, police said today.
Police said the boy, who has been arrested, also allegedly used to sexually harass her by sending SMS-es.u00a0
The girl, a second year student at an Arts and Science college at Gobichettipalayam, allegedly set herself ablaze on Saturday last.
She succumbed to burns in hospital today, police said.
