Police release sketches of the couple who abducted the baby on Wednesday
Two unidentified persons stole a three-month-old baby from her mother, while she was waiting for husband at Mitramandal Chowk near Sarasbaug at 5.30 pm on Wednesday.

Swargate police have registered a case of kidnapping against the unknown persons and have also released their sketches.u00a0Police said the woman was wearing a yellow sari, while the man was dressed in black trousers and a striped shirt. He was also wearing a cap. Both are in their 30s, cops said.
The mother, identified as Rekha Raju Pardhi (25), lodged the complaint against the unknown persons. u00a0Police Inspector Ram Pathare, in-charge of Swargate police station, said “Rekha and her husband Raju had gone to Katraj in an auto rickshaw, along with their three children, aged six and three years and the abducted three-month-old baby.
Raju then left Rekha and the children and proceeded for some work. Rekha then decided to walk down to Mitramandal Chowk.”u00a0“The two suspects approached her and lured her by offering her daily wage work for Rs 300.
Rekha handed over her three-month old boy, Amarnath, to the lady while the other children went with her inside the Patil Plaza building premises. When Rekha and the male suspect went to the third floor, he asked them to wait there and disappeared from the spot,” Pathare said.
“After some time, Rekha came out of the building and found that the lady had also vanished, along with her baby. We are accessing the CCTV footage from the area to check the movements of the suspects. Besides that, we have released sketches of the suspects and will nab them soon,” Pathare added.u00a0
