On Saturday, Kalyan youth Areeb Majeed's father Ejaz Majeed said that that a supplementary chargesheet of around 10,000 pages has been filed at Special NIA court on March 2. A copy was also handed over to Majeed.

Speaking to mid-day, Ejaz Majeed said that he and his son have gone through the chargesheet and while the earlier one said that Areeb was arrested when he was trying to sneak into India, "but the supplementary one has documents, which say that after I approached Istanbul consulate Siddharth Jutshi, who wrote to the embassy to deport Majeed to India immediately. Hence he had the intention to come back and was helped by officials to get him back to India."

Ejaz said, "When Areeb told me that he wants to come back I informed NIA who gave me Jutshi 's number. after contacting Jutshi he told me to ask Areeb to come to Istanbul where he could help him to come to Mumbai."

Ejaz also provided the consulate the required details for a passport as Areeb did not have one.

"The chargesheet also has documents from 12 countries. US has provided details of Areeb's Facebook, Gmail accounts and few other details. Also a letter from the Istanbul Consulate urging to send Areeb to India and from countries like Canada and Australia whether he was in touch with anyone there," Ejaz said.

"His WhatsApp account also has no communication according to the chargesheet," he added.
