A 17-year-old resident of Malad (East) was allegedly gang-raped by seven men on March 16
A case was lodged against seven persons on Tuesday, two of whom have been arrested while the rest are absconding. All seven accused were known to the victim, as they lived in the same area as the girl in Shanti Nagar. They kidnapped her as she waited outside her house for her parents.u00a0
They forced her into an auto, taking her to Appapada Forest in Malad (West). Four of the accused took turns violating her, while the others held her down. The accused were aged between 20 and 25 years and were all labourers.
The victim was sent to Dongri children’s home after medical tests at Nagpada Hospital. The police said that the NGO members learnt about the incident and informed the police.
