Mumbai: The crime branch of city police is looking for the fourth accused after interrogating three people arrested for the murder of a seven year old boy.

"Investigators are hunting for the fourth accused in the case," said DCP (detection) Dhananjay Kulkarni here today.  Last Saturday the police arrested three men for abducting and sodomising the boy, a resident of a slum in Wadala area, on October 13 last year and later killing him.

The highly-decomposed body of the victim was found on December 24 along the Eastern Expressway.

Subsequently, police arrested Krishnanarayan Yadav (22), Tausif Ali Taufik alias Shaikh (24) and Mehmud Ali Sadaf alias  Sayyad (22). They were produced in the court yesterday and remanded in police custody till January 22.

The police have questioned more than 100 people in Wadala, Antop Hill and Kurla area while investigating the disappearance of the boy.

The accused abducted him when he was playing near his house after luring him with a sweet, police said. They were  drunk, and after sodomizing him, they strangulated him.

Police found some beer bottles near the spot. Batch number of these bottles led police to look for the culprits in the area in which the victim lived.
