The State Election Commission has issued directives to Maharashtra government to assign the Lok Sabha related work to Director General of Anti-corruption Bureau Suprakash Chakravarty.
"Election Commission has issued directives to the state government to assign the Lok Sabha election related work to Chakravarty on March 14," Chief Election Officer Debashish Chakraborti said on Tuesday.
"The next day onwards, the order came into effect and Chakravarty is on duty now," he said.
