It's different from the Indian Premier League's T-20 format, but T-10 Gully cricket is finding many supporters in Bollywood.

The latest actor to join the bandwagon is Jimmy Shergill.

Recently, he bought the ownership of the Jalandhar team, which is called Jalandhar Gullies. Shergill will travel with the players during the Championship Trophy when the matches begin in December.

Said Jimmy, "Earlier, I was associated with PHL, which is the hockey league and I represented not one but two teams Chandigarh and Jalandhar.

I believe there is a need for people to step ahead and get involved in opportunities that showcase real talent." Jimmy said that unlike the IPL, there was little money involved in T-10.u00a0

This is purely for a good cause, so that people in the interiors who play good cricket get to play on a much bigger platform.

Since I come from Punjab, and have a strong base here, I decided to support the Jalandhar team," Jimmy said.

A big fan of the game, the actor doesn't miss an opportunity to play cricket. "We carry a bat and ball with us, and start playing after we wrap the shoot or as and when time permits, despite my hectic schedule.

I relish the few hours I get to play," said the actor, who is busy with his Punjabi films. "There is a huge market for them, not just here but abroad as well.

Australia, Canada are places where these films get huge buyers. I am happy that both my Punjabi releases this year have done extremely well," he said.
