GPS markers show that their return route was planned for November 28

The transcripts of the conversation between the terrorists and their bosses based in Pakistan have revealed that they planned to return to Karachi on November 28, after completing the mission. This has been established by the waypoints on their GPS marking both entry and exit points.

According to the 17 waypoints marked on the GPS, the terrorists had left from Karachi on November 22 from a point called MOB (Man on Board), 20 km south west from Kajhar creek near Keti Bandar in Pakistan. This was the point where the terrorists had switched on their GPS, and were to return back to the same point after the mission.

The points were pre-programmed in GPS for navigation to reach Mumbai through the sea route. The GPS shows a car symbol at arrival point and the terrorists took taxis from the arrival point.

However, they modified the route due to its proximity with the Indian coastal regions, and followed a path 60 to 80 km away from the coastal regions that was safer for them.

The terrorists had already mapped their return journey from Mumbai to the MOB point (407.7 nautical miles from Mumbai to Karachi). Points T-001 to T-007 were marked as track backs on their GPS. The point T-007 was Badhwar Park at Cuffe Parade and they were to follow the same route back to the MOB.
