Neighbours and cops suspect that the alleged killer could have been suffering from delusions

After a team of policemen was formed to trace Moiz Bharmal, who allegedly killed his parents and then spent two days with the corpses, cops are now on the lookout for a man by the name of Dr Vinod.

The police believe that this person is a schizophrenic illusion that the accused has.

The police told MiD DAY that they suspect that the Marol resident suffered from schizophrenia based on the observations made by society members and his son's statements.

Who is Dr Vinod?
Authorities also added that he had mentioned a Dr Vinod in one of his letters.

"Moiz's letter mention that when he dies he wishes to be cremated at the same place where Vinod's father was cremated," said Inspector Mohan Waghmare, MIDC police station.

However, he added, "We are facing difficulty tracing any Vinod as nobody in Bharmal's family knows a person by that name."

Waghmare further said that Bharmal was suffering from depression, which might have lead to schizophrenia leading him to turn delusional.

When asked whether Bharmal was diagnosed with a mental ailment, Assistant Commissioner of police (MIDC) Prakash Wadkar said, "His relatives told us that Bharmal suffered from depression but no other ailments."

Cops have also been dispatched to Pune, along with Moiz's son Hussain, to question his friends and previous employers but have received no leads.

Bharmal had allegedly strangled both his parents and then stayed with the corpses for two days.
