Over 300 Communist Party of India (Marxist) party workers agitated against the slow construction pace of work on the 11.07 km Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar metro rail corridor on Saturday afternoon. Party workers were angered by the traffic jams due to ongoing metro work on the route. CPI (M) Western Suburban Taluka Secretary Shailendra Kamble said, "MMRDA-MMOPL had said that work will be completed by December 2011 but looking at things it doesn't look like the work will be completed by next December either."
