Raees Ahmed Khan, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was shot thrice with a country made revolver, they said adding that the assailants however managed to flee from the crime scene.
Khan, who was living in suburban Govandi, was working as a loader at the Jogeshwari railway godown and was walking on his way to work at around 0730 hours when he was shot, police said.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival, they said, adding further investigations were on.
