A man fired a bullet at a building contractor in Andheri on Friday night. The injured has been admitted to Nanavati hospital in Santacruz and is reportedly out of danger. According to the police, the incident occurred at 9.30 pm near Bombay Bazar, JP Road, Andheri (West).
The cops said that this could have been a result of an ongoing land dispute between Darshan developers (owned by Pravin Satra) and residents of Geeta building in Andheri (West). The builder's men were allegedly threatening the residents.

On Friday night, the builder's men began to threaten the residents. That is when a resident, Venilal Indramani Hirani (53) fired one bullet at Jai Prakash Shiv Prakash Singh (43). The bullet hit him in the chest, and he was rushed to Nanavati hospital. Hirani later surrendered to DN Nagar police, where he was arrested.
