Two JCB operators died while another named Shankar was rescued and is currently recuperating in hospital.

Two JCB operators died while another named Shankar was rescued and is currentlyu00a0 recuperating in hospital.

The JCB operators had gone to demolish a ground-plus-three buildng that was declared illegal by the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC). Soon after they started the demolition, a portion of the building collapsed around 11 amu00a0 on Monday, MBMC officials said.


The three operators were removed from the debris and rushed to a nearby hospital.



There was only one family living in the building but had left few days back.

Builder Rajan Taklya is absconding.
