That is terrorist-speak for 'all is well'; code words used by terrorists to communicate with their bosses have been decoded by the police and handed over as additional proof to Pakistan

'Barf kitney din ki baqi hai?', read a message from Pakistan to one of the 10 terrorists aboard the Indian boat M V Kuber. The message does not have a straight answer, as you would imagine.

Although the terrorists communicated in Hindi and Urdu most of the time, they also used code words taught by their bosses in Pakistan. The terrorists sent and received messages via satellite phones.

One of the most regularly sent messages was 'Satellite khula rakha hai', meaning 'Is the satellite phone on?' These messages have now been decoded by the Mumbai police and handed as proof to Pakistan apart from the satellite and IEMI numbers used by the terrorists.

The codes were detected through their talks that have been recorded and the messages that were exchanged between the terrorists and their Pakistani bosses on their journey to Mumbai. The SMS contents were retrieved from numbers connected to the Thuraya satellite phone no 88**********2 that a terrorist named Ismail forgot on M V Kuber.

All messages and calls were made to and received from numbers in Pakistan. According to the police, a satellite phone no 88*********1 was used by someone named Saad from Pakistan to communicate with the terrorists.
