Women belonging to Sankalp Mahila Audyogik Utpadak Sahkari Sanstha set up by the Livelihood Cell established by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority met World Bank executive directors of eight countries on Saturday.

The Sanstha runs food houses at many institutions including the MMRDA, and offers housekeeping services to various public and private organisations, as a means of livelihood for its Project Affected women members.

"The concept is to make the officials aware of the best resettlement and rehabilitation practices employed", said Hubert Nove-Josserand, Operations Advisor, World Bank.
