Once tagged as weak in studies, Riddhi Sudrania, 38, has silenced her critics by passing one of India’s toughest examinations — the Chartered Accountancy (CA) exam. Her journey has been marked by struggle, self-motivation, and quiet endurance. What began in 2015, with 18 unsuccessful attempts, finally bore fruit on July 6, 2025, when she cleared the CA Final exams conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), earning her the prestigious ‘CA’ prefix.
“My ten years of hard work have yielded results,” she says with pride. She recalls her early school days, when she was often perceived as a weak student, especially in comparison to her elder sister and her twin. “I only scored 43 per cent in my Std X board exams,” she said. Her academic journey took a turn in junior college. “2005 was my turning point. I took up commerce and started doing better. In Std XII, I scored 60 per cent. I did well in both B.Com and M.Com,” she said.
After that, she cleared the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH-SET) and, in 2011, joined Shree Halari Visa Oswal College in Bhiwandi as a lecturer till 2015. This gave her the motivation to pursue CA in 2013 while continuing her teaching career. Despite her determination, personal challenges forced her to drop out within a year. But the dream never left. In 2015, she re-enrolled with a quiet promise to herself: she would not give up.

Years passed. Exams came and went. Failures became a routine. But one thing never changed — her will to keep going. She had every reason to feel broken, yet she remained steady. “As a teacher, I always tell my students to never give up. Then how could I give up on my own goal?” she said with quiet conviction. Through the most difficult years, she leaned on spiritual teachings and found strength in the unwavering belief of her mentor, CA Naresh Myana.
Recalling his first interaction with Riddhi in 2007, CA Naresh Myana, 40, who is also the founder of Brainiacs Academy, Bhiwandi, said, “I met Riddhi in 2007 when she was in her B.Com second year. She was enthusiastic and bright, and never left without clearing her doubts. It was during my CA education that she developed an interest in the subject. As her teacher, I only encouraged her to pursue it.”
Myana calls Riddhi a true spirit and a wonderful teacher who inspires her students. “Despite hardships in her personal life and repeated failures, she never gave up,” he said. Kiran Sudrania, 70, Riddhi’s mother, said, “It’s all my child’s hard work that God has rewarded with this success. I only pray for her and my other two daughters’ success always.”
Pawan Sudrania, 69, Riddhi’s father, who is now retired, added, “I gave whatever I could within my capacity. We don’t come from a financially strong background, but we ensured our daughters got educated. For Riddhi, we provided a dedicated study room and made sure her meals and chai were ready on time. The rest is all her hard work. Today, she has earned the CA prefix, and yet she has chosen to remain a teacher. I will always support her.” As the celebrations continue, Riddhi expresses heartfelt gratitude to ‘Naresh-sir’ and her family for their unwavering belief in her. “They always believed I would become a CA one day,” she said.
