Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as Aqua line, experienced a disruption earlier on Saturday after a minor technical issue was reported at the Aarey JVLR Metro Station. As reported, the glitch was detected during routine operations, prompting an immediate response from the maintenance and safety teams.
As a precautionary measure, a few metro trains operating between the CSMIA T2 and Aarey sections were temporarily halted. Metro staff on duty ensured that passengers aboard the affected services were safely assisted and guided during the short interruption.
Authorities confirmed that all required safety protocols were swiftly carried out, preventing any further operational impact. Within a short period, the issue was resolved, and train movements resumed smoothly.
Earlier on November 25, commuters on the Mumbai Metro Aqua Line 3 also experienced delays during the morning peak hours after a technical issue forced a brief halt in operations.
According to the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL), a malfunction in one of the trains at Siddhivinayak station on November 29 led to services being suspended for around 10 minutes. The fault was rectified promptly, officials said.
The MMRCL, while addressing the issue, further stated that, “Due to a technical issue in one train at Siddhivinayak station, services were briefly halted for approximately 10 minutes. The issue has since been resolved. As a result, trains are currently running with a delay of about 5 to 10 minutes. Our teams are closely monitoring operations, and normal services are expected to resume shortly as per the timetable.”
