Tesla on Friday announced the launch of its first official Supercharging Station in India on August 4. The charging station will be located at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai.
An official statement said that the launch of charging station marks a key step in Tesla’s expansion into the Indian market.
The charging station will offer four V4 Supercharging Stalls (DC) and four Destination Charging Stalls (AC), giving Tesla owners flexible charging options.
"Tesla Superchargers provide a fast and convenient way to charge a Tesla on the road, with an uptime of 99.95 per cent, meaning you never need to worry about whether you can charge your Tesla. The charging speed varies depending on several factors, including the battery's current state of charge and its temperature. The vehicle can route you to the charger of your choice and automatically precondition the battery before arriving at the station to ensure a faster charging experience," an official statement said.
Superchargers will offer up to 250 kW charging speeds, priced at Rs 24 per kWh. Destination chargers will offer 11 kW, priced at Rs 14 per kWh.
