The entire city will see a 15 per cent water cut with some parts seeing a complete water cut on Tuesday (October 26).

This comes as the work to replace two 1,200-mm diameter pipelines at Bhandup Complex pumping station; replacing the stage-III pump set with a spare one at Pise Panjrapur Complex, as well as attending to leakages on the 1,800-mm diameter water mains are set to be undertaken on Tuesday between 10 am and 10 pm. Water supply to eastern, western and city areas under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will be affected due to the works.

In addition, there is also a proposal to arrest leakages on the Tansa water supply lines in Powai from 10 am on Tuesday to 10 am on Wednesday, which means there will be no water supply in K East, S, G North and H East wards during this period. BMC, in a press statement, has urged citizens to store water and cooperate with the civic body.
