The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday announced that the water supply in several areas of the city will be affected on December 1 and 2 due to essential maintenance work on the city’s water pipelines.
According to an official statement, the work involves connecting a 2,500 mm diameter water pipeline to the existing 3,000 mm main water pipeline near the Amar Mahal underground tunnel shafts (1 and 2), located at the Cheda Nagar Junction, Ghatkopar East.
The maintenance is scheduled to begin on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 10 am and will continue until Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 4 pm, a total duration of 30 hours, an official said.
During this period, some areas will experience low water pressure, while in others, water supply will be completely suspended, the official said.
Affected areas
‘A’ Ward: BHR Water Reservoir supply area – including St. George Hospital, P D’Mello Road, Ramgad slum, Reserve Bank of India, Naval Dockyard, GPO junction to Regal Cinema junction, Shahid Bhagat Singh Road area.

‘B’ Ward: Wadi Bandar, Dongri A and B, BPT area, Babul Tank area – including areas such as Nandalal Jani Road, Umar Khadi, Noorbagh Chinchbandar, Samuel Mohammud Umar, Koilal Road, Kazi Sayyed, Navroji Tekdi.
