Union transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said that he had envisaged a direct electric bus journey between New Delhi and Nariman Point via the new Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

“I had suggested manufacturing luxury electric buses that can be operated from Delhi to Shimla and Delhi to Jaipur. I have suggested to start the luxury electric buses from Delhi and connect it to Nariman Point in Mumbai on the new green highway,”  he said.
