The protesting Ola and Uber drivers in Mumbai have decided to postpone their strike call on Tuesday.
The striking drivers on Tuesday remained engaged in a series of meetings with the Transport Commissioner’s office over their dispute with the aggregator companies, who have assured them that their demands will be looked into.
“The Transport Department had separate meetings -- twice each -- with the trade unions and the cab aggregator companies on Tuesday. They have assured us that all the issues will be resolved. However, the unions have asked for written assurance, which the companies have promised to provide by Wednesday,” Additional Transport Commissioner Bharat Kalaskar said.
