On 26th January, on the occasion of India’s 72nd Republic Day, low-key celebrations took place at Mumbai’s iconic Shivaji Park in Dadar. The Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, hoisted the national tricolour in the presence of Chief Minister Udhav Thackeray, his wife Rashmi Thackeray and a few more ministers, in a low-profile ceremony. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, only 4 battalions took part in this year’s Republic Day parade in Mumbai. Watch this video for more.
