Brijesh Kumar Singh, an army jawan and a suspected Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) agent, will file his say on Wednesday after the police requested court's permission to conduct a narco-analysis test on him. Singh (26) of Signal Regiment was arrested on charges of handing over sensitive documents and photos of Southern Command headquarters to his accomplice Vishambar Agarwal.
Police inspector Bhanupratap Barge produced Singh before the court of Judicial Magistrate (First Class) R L Wankhade yesterday. Singh was remanded to judicial custody by the court. During the hearing, the police asked for court's permission to conduct narco-test on Singh.
Barge said, "Singh is not not revealing his links with his Pakistani counterparts. He has not provided us with details of any other documents that were handed over to Agarwal. That is why we have asked for permission to conduct a narco-test."
In the wake of a Supreme Court ruling, the judge asked for Singh's say on the test. Singh's counsel Advocate Narayan Pandit said, "We will file our say on Wednesday regarding the narco test."
The next hearing is on Wednesday.
