'Not callous, just curious'

Ram Gopal Varma gives his reasons for going on what was termed as a ''terror tour". The director ''just happened to" accompany Riteish on CM Vilasrao Deshmukh's tour of Taj. It prompted a citizen uproar and is said to be why Deshmukh was replaced by Ashok Chavan.

What he said: "I never realised the huge public outcry it would become. I was curious. Which person can say they would not have gone in given the opportunity?'' Ram Gopal Varma

Status now: Ashok Chavan was reinstated this year as CM.
