Say Swedish students, on an exchange programme in the city, through a human rights presentation
Swedish students who are currently visiting the city under the cultural exchange programme of various Swedish universities with NGO Sweden-India project yesterday attended a presentation on human rights.

Well-known human rights advocate Gabriel Obery of Orebro University said Sweden has already adapted this rule.
"Although buying and selling sex are the two sides of the same coin, sex workers should not to be penalised, as they may not be in this business voluntarily," said Obery.

The presentation was organised by Aseem Sarode, who while addressing the group said that the law penalised the solicitor of commercial sex, but they are often the victims of circumstances and must not be spared.
"In India, the brothel-based sex workers are often harassed by the police, as they are easy targets," he said.
Sarode also pointed out that the police are aware of college girls offering commercial sex, but have not taken any action against them.
"The police is content with penalising the poor sex workersu00a0 and overlook the high society prostitutes," said Sarode.
