The prime accused in multi-crore fake stamp paper scam has written to his younger brother demanding Rs 25 lakh, or face dire consequences
In the last letter, he has warned Azim of dire consequences, if Azim fails to do so.
In an exclusive telephonic chat with Azim, he alleged that the letters were being sent through Telgi's so-called son-in-law Irfan Talikoti, who allegedly wants to destroy Azim's reputation in his hometown Khanapur of Belgaum district.

"My brother has ruined my life. I am even scared to go out. I want to live with my own life.

My brother trusts Talikoti blindly. The words " I may go to any extent' is showing that they may kill me," he told this reporter.
Seeking protection from this threatening letters, Azim has lodged a complaint with City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari.
The letters
Telgi has written three letters in English to Azim, demanding money so that he could pay off several debts that include taxes amounting to over Rs 25 lakh, and the monthly 'hafta' meant for corrupt jail authorities and policemen in Karnataka.
"This money is needed to ensure that I am not moved to the Yerwada jail in Pune or anywhere in Maharashtra," says Telgi who had sought narco tests for Nationalist Congress Party leaders Sharad Pawar and Chhagan Bhujbal, in the letter.
Telgi, who is HIV positive, had also mentioned costs towards his medication and offered ownership of property in Solapur and Belgaum, in lieu of monetary help.
Money matter
In his first letter, Telgi had even said that he will commit suicide if he does not get the money.
u00a0"Talikoti has been distributing copies of the letters in the locality and is claiming that I have seized all property belonging to my elder brother," Azim has said in his complaint.
He further claims that his brother is used to of a lavish lifestyle and in order to continue that, Talikoti has hatched a plan to take control of all properties by hook or by crook.
As a result, the kingpin now wants Azim to sell his agricultural land. He asked for Rs 25 lakh in February, and a payment of Rs 5 lakh. "It is impossible to arrange that kind of amount for me," he said.
"I don't have even Rs 500 on me. I have delayed going to the Vishakapattanam court because I have no money," said Azim Meanwhile Bidari, has taken the case and promised Azim to help to solve the problem.
"We are enquiring into the matter," he said.
