BJP candidate from South Delhi Kanwar Singh Tanwar lashes out at his Congress rival Ramesh kumar, calls him "smackie"

Hate speeches and character assassination can get you instant publicity in this election season. Varun Gandhi has seen the good effects of bad behavior.

After Varun, the BSP's Akhilesh Das had called his Samajwadi Party rival from Lucknow, Nafisa Ali, a "budhiya" (old woman). Now another BSP contestant has followed suit.

Kanwar Singh Tanwar, the BSP candidate from South Delhi, called his Congress rival Ramesh Kumar a "smackie" at a public meeting on Sunday.

The Election Commission may not have taken notice of Tanwar's tirade, but MiDDAY has exclusive footage of the speech.

Ramesh Kumar is the brother of Congress heavyweight Sajjan Kumar who lost his ticket from the West Delhi constituency in the wake of the shoe-gate incident.

Varun's comments had earned the wrath of the Election Commission and the poll panel ordered videography of all poll rallies to prevent any repeats. But clearly, candidates are still flouting the rules.

BOLTI BANDH

Digvijay Singh (Congress) for threatening to send the CBI after Mayawati
Amar Singh (SP) for seeking votes on caste lines
Jaya Prada (SP) for distributing bindis
Akhilesh Das (BSP) for calling Nafisa Ali "budhiya"
