Lakshmi Reddy was thrashed by wife Savithri (24) with the help of her cousins and died in hospital, said the police. Savithri and her cousins have been arrested.
Savithri co-owned a paying guest in BTM Layout with Lakshmi and her brother Chenna Reddy (28). Her cousins Venkatasubba Reddy (45) and Ramana Reddy (36) also owned a paying guest set-up nearby.
Lakshmi would quarrel with Savithri, accusing her of having an affair with Venkatasubba.
Mico Layout police Inspector C N Janardhan Rao, who conducted the investigation, said, "The murder was planned by Savithri and her cousins were also involved.
We also found that she had an illicit affair with her cousins Venkatasubba Reddy and Ramana Reddy."
