TALES FROM DOWN UNDER
What happens when Sandy, a geologist gets stuck in a desert with an annoying, inscrutable and decidedly arrogant man? The answer is mayhem.
The Japanese Story is a relationship drama flick in which things go from bad to worse as two people get stranded in one of the most remote regions on earth. The ongoing Australian Film Festival 2010 is a string of such delightful dramas telling poignant stories from Down Under. From thrillers to themes that explore sexuality, gender and family, the festival has been brought to India by the joint initiative of the Australian government and Screen Australia. The entry is through passes that are available at the Australian High Commission at Chanakyapuri.u00a0u00a0

JAMMING FOR A GREENER EARTH
Don't measure them by time signatures or rhythmic patterns, HFT is unpredictable and they have an apt nickname for themselves-Lyrical Chaos. This three men jazz-fusion demolition team is performing at the Eco Festival 2010 for Kriti, the public trust that has been focusing on environment and human right issues. Arjun Sen or AJ, the lead guitarist and percussionist Sam Shullai haven't lost the magic touch since their Great Society days with Lou Majaw. Add bassist Lew Hilt, who use to prowl the music scene of Kolkata in the 60s and the trio can give any younger band a run for their money. And yes, do not forget to carry your id cards for entry.u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0

SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER
Pull out those moth-ridden dancing shoes, buff them up for its time to do go Latino. Give a boost to your stamina, flexibility and balance and meet some interesting people in the process by attending a ballroom dance class this weekend. Ballentino Dance Studios offers salsa, rumba, waltz and tango classes in Delhi, Gurgoan and Noida. Burst the stress you collected over the week by letting your hair down learning some sexy moves. The dance instructors Lucky and partner Damini might not be able to bring out the Patrick Swayze or John Travolta hidden inside you in a one day session but it'll surely give you a good night's sleep.
When: Today and Tomorrow
At: Several venues at Vasant Kunj, Gurgoan and Noida
Timings: 12.30 pm to 8.30 pm
Ring: 9999909639
