Many choices, where to go? If it's not the tried and tested zone you want to head to this time, try the lavish spread at the all-new restaurant called Curry with a K, tucked inside the St Mark's Hotel.

The restaurant might not get its prominence since it's set inside an already existing hotel, but it's not a sheer downer nevertheless.

Afternoons are abuzz with varied diners digging at the ritzy buffet spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

The day my colleague and me stopped by, we spotted a host of expats around ufffd some with their business partners and others with their families.

The interiors are chic and classy. The vibe of the dining area was extremely relaxed, making it an apt place for a hearty conversation with my work partner over a quick lunch, as the buffet beckoned us to dig in.

We took barely a couple of minutes to soak in the air of the restaurant and headed straight to sample the spread. It's also a handy haven for those working nearby for a post office-hour drink at the bar.

Begin your meal with one of the fresh juices on stack. We picked the watermelon from the choices of pineapple and apple.

There was Hara Bhara Kebab to snack on before hitting the spread. The lunch buffet is a mix of north Indian, Chinese and Continental.

A friendly advice

Don't expect anything fancy here. There are the usual familiar riffs of breadbasket, pasta, rice, curries and salads.

It's perfect for those days when you've left home in a jiffy, skipped your breakfast and have a long day to go at work.

The days when you can permit yourself to just give in to the spicy Rogan Josh with steaming hot rice, even heap on a plateful of Penne Arrabiata and still don't mind a bite of the hot Tandoori Roti with Dal or Masala Bhindi, if you please.

There are also a host of pastries as dessert options for those with a sweet tooth.

Downside

Don't get overwhelmed by the sheer number of dishes like Mutton Curry, Butter Chicken Curry, Chicken Do Pyaza, Paneer Butter Masala, Alu Matar, Shahi Paneer, Chilly Chicken, Chilli Paneer, Chinese Curry and Noodles on offer.

For those who're stepping in expecting some authentic o-so-yummy food, might be sorry to see that the restaurant has not strictly stuck to its culinary strengths.
