A huge cache of explosives, allegedly buried by the ULFA in a remote village along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border, was on Thursday recovered by the army.

Fifty five kg of gelatine sticks numbering 420 and believed to be buried by ULFA's strikeforce 28 battalion were recovered from Amarpur village near Sadiya in Tinsukia district, army sources said here.

The 28 battalion's two companies Alpha and Charlie have gone on unilateral ceasefire. The explosives were handed over to police.
