Constable injured in one of the rare accidents involving police vehicles

In one of the rare accidents in the city, involving a police control room (PCR) van, a Delhi Police constable was injured when a DTC bus hit the van near Greater Kailash on the BRT corridor on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at around 3 pm when a DTC bus plying on route no. 419 rammed into the PCR when it was on patrol. The bus driver was later arrested and the injured constable was admitted to the nearest hospital. The condition of the constable is said to be stable.

In the last fatal accident on the controversial corridor, a man died near the Moolchand flyover in southeast Delhi at 1.15 am on May 11 when his bike was hit by a Blueline bus. The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Mohan Gupta.
