The city police yesterday busted a betting racket, with the arrest of six persons, who are mostly college students and dropouts. 
According to the police, they were involved in arranging bets for the Pakistan-Kenya match, and were planning to take bets on the India-England match.
The accused had rented a house in Kumaraswamy Layout, and were operating through mobile phones and the Internet. After a complaint, the police, posing as prospective clients, tracked their location, and raided them.
The arrested presons are Gaurav Roy (22), Sanjeev Ranjan (23), Manav Singh (21), Amrindar Singh (25), Sumant R (23) and Avi Singh V (25). They had collected Rs 45,000 for the India Vs England match.
