This is for the first time that a Metro official is killed at a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) construction site that have seen a string of accidents during the recent times.
The driver is reportedly absconding after the mishap while the dead body was taken to a nearby hospital for post mortem.
"A complaint of negligence has been registered against the driver and investigation is still going on," the police official said.u00a0 The driver could not be recognised till early morning but sources confirmed that he too was a DMRC employee.
