Many final year engineering students allege that the Digital Signal Image Processing (DSIP) exam paper of their third year Bachelor of Engineering in Computers (TYB.E) on Monday was too difficult.
Several posts have appeared on popular social networking site Facebook, alleging that the three-hour DSIP exam was difficult.u00a0
Students claim that the paper was not as per syllabus, and some allege that four questions were corrected at one examination centre well after 12.30 on Monday, though all corrections are supposed to be done before 12 pm.

Suraj Jadhav (name changed), a TYB.E student of computers, said, “I am working at a company and if I fail or get ATKT [Allowed to Keep Terms] because the paper was extremely tough, I will lose my job.”
Rishi Shah (name changed), another student said, “We only came to know about correction made to four questions after 12.30 pm. We had already finished solving those questions by that time. First of all, the paper was set tough.
On other hand, the correction was brought to our notice very late. How are we going to pass? Almost 80 per cent students of engineering in computers are unhappy with the way the paper was set.”
Sujit Lahane, (name changed) posted, “Most of the students are planning to protest after the exams get over. If we get ATKT in the exam, then we will have to take all 12 subjects and sit again for the exam to pass. But the tag of pass class will never help us in getting a job.”
D G Wasave, in-charge controller of exams, University of Mumbai, said, “If we receive a complaint letter from a large enough group of students, we could consider forwarding it to the paper setter and the committee. Till now, I have not received any complaint from students or any college stating the exam paper was difficult. But papers should be set in such a way that even the average student can solve them.” u00a0
