The regular rallies and foot marches of political parties during their campaigns have been causing severe traffic jams, giving citizens a hard time. He complained that a political rally organised in his area a few days ago had brought the lives of citizens to a halt with traffic congestion that took hours to clear.

Taware complained to the Deputy Election Officer Jyoti Kadam of Parvati constituency to find an immediate solution to this problem.
Reacting to the complaint, Kadam wrote a letter to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Branch) Pradeep Deshpande to issue instructions to his officials to ensure that such incidents are prevented in the future.
DCP Deshpande issued an order in the police gazette and instructed all concerned police officers to take suitable action against concerned political workers.
Poll fever: With the city going to the polls in a week's time, the number of political rallies and padyatras have skyrocketed, causing trouble to commuters
Kadam said, "It is the responsibility of the police to maintain traffic discipline during election campaigning of the parties.
They should ensure this while giving NOCs to them. Apart from this, if citizens are facing any problems, they can contact and submit their complaints to electoral officers in their respective constituencies so that further action can be initiated."
DCP Deshpande said, "I have issued standing orders to all police officers to ensure that citizens are not inconvenienced by snarls.
Every citizen has the right to lead a "normal life" even during the election season. If political workers are found to be flouting the norms, we will register a case against them under relevant sections of the Criminal Procedure Code and Indian Penal Code."
