The H1N1 flu toll in the city upto 52 on Thursday as Five died on Thursday and three who were succumbed on Wednesday were confirmed later as H1N1 positive.

The H1N1 flu toll in the cityu00a0went up tou00a052 as fiveu00a0succumed to the virusu00a0on Thursday and three who had died on Wednesday were confirmed later as H1N1 positive.

The five who died on Thursday were identified as:u00a0 Kashinath Ghanshetti ( age 40, resident of Baner,u00a0 Pune), Duramma Barthi, (60, Karvenagar, Pune) and Shashikant Bhalerao (17, Parner village, Ahmadnagar district). Sagar Bhalerao (7, Pimpri) died on the late hours on Thursday was the sixth casualty.


The two women died on Wednesday are Shankaramma Taimor (56, Wadgaon Dhairi, Pune) and Priya Deshmukh
