Security forces on Tuesday recovered a haul of arms and ammunition from a forest in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, police spokesman said.
The recovery, which included two AK assault rifles, eight pistols and three revolvers, was made by a joint search party of police and 33 Rashtriya Rifles in the forest area of Rajnar in Handwara area of Kupwara, the spokesman said.
Two AK magazines, 10 pistol magazines, 2846 rounds of AK ammunition, 60 rounds of pistol ammunition and two Chinese hand grenades were also seized from the area, he added. No arrests were made during the operation, the spokesman said.
