The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has organised special Valentine's Day events so you can spend some arty quality time with your loved one

Devdas through the years
On: February 14, at Cama Hall. Bimal Roy's Devdas
at 1 pm, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas at 4 pm and Anurag Kashyap's Dev D at 7 pm.

Spend a day with Hindi cinema's favourite love-struck, tragic hero u2014 Devdas. The screening of the 1955 classic directed by Bimal Roy, will be followed by a discussion with Rinki Bhattacharya, his writer-activist daughter. The film section of the festival is dedicated to films inspired by Saratchandra Chatterjee's novel. So, you can catch Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas and Anurag Kashyap's Dev D at the same venue back-to-back. We say it's a great way to compare the three films, but beware of an overdose, else you will transform into a brooder too.

Aditya Hitakari and Divya Palat's Balancing Act Productions premieres a new play at the festival. As the title suggests, the play is all about love and how different people have different perspectives on the term. The play portrays three couples who are at different stages in their relationship u2014 one couple has just started dating, another is married, and the third has been living together for years. "It carries three stories, but it's not a linear plot line. The stories keep intersecting. It's a light-hearted take on love and it's fitting that it is premiering on Valentine's Day," says Palat.

Listen to songs about raw love
On: February 14, 8 pm at David Sassoon Library.

If you are not the type to swoon at the thought of red roses and candle-lit dinners, the Sridhar/Thayil gig is totally for you. Jeet Thayil, one half of the band tells us, "We have written a X-rated rap, specially for V-Day so that adults are not bereft of their share of fun. How many times can you rhyme love with above and not get bored? If I hear another song that rhymes moon with June, I'm going to puke!"
