Kochi: A tanker lorry carrying LPG overturned near here, killing the driver today, police said.
There was no leakage of gas from the vehicle and efforts were on to transfer the LPG to another tanker. The tanker was suspected to have collided with another vehicle before overturning at nearby Kundannore around 10 pm, they said adding vehicular movement on the road has been restricted in view of the mishap.
Ernakulam District Collector M G Rajamanickam, Kochi police Commissioner and officials of Indian Oil Corporation
are supervising the operations.
