External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj visited Iran to boost overall ties with a major focus on raising India's oil imports and enhancing trade with the powerful Persian Gulf nation.

Sushma Swaraj met her Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif and Irani President Hassan Rouhani. However Sushma Swaraj more than the official visit, she became a talk of Twitter for her appearance.

Swaraj, who is usually seen in saris with pinned up pallu, took a different turn when she appeared in a pink sari and pink shawl. However the fact that she covered her hair was the bone of contention for many Twitterati.A Twitter user even commented that she was'wearing a pink potato sack'.

Her appearance was not just trolled but she even got some supporters who didn't see anything wrong in her attire.

Apart from her choice of couture, Swaraj had a wide rage of engagements with several top Iranian leaders, including President Hassan Rouhani who assured Swaraj that Iran can be a 'reliable partner' for India's energy needs.

After the two day visit to Iran, Swaraj heading for Russian capital Moscow for the second leg of her two-nation visit, during which she attended the annual Foreign Ministers' meeting of Russia, India and China.
