A joint legislature committee headed by A T Ramaswamy was formed to enquire into encroachment of government land in Bangalore and the adjoining areas. The committee had found that over 30,000 acres of land were encroached.u00a0

A PIL seeking the implementation of the committee's recommendations was filed with the high court. The divisional bench heard the case today and ordered the counsels for the state government to file its stand by next Monday.
