Siwan: A man was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle on Siwan-Barhariya road in Bihar's Siwan district in the wee hours on Friday, a police officer said.

Mufassil police station SHO Vinay Pratap Singh said that the incident occurred when a man identified as Rajendra Manjhi was crossing the Siwan-Barhariya road near Rasulpur village in the district.

Manjhi was the resident of Rasulpur village.

Agitated villagers blocked the Siwan-Barhariya road for nearly four hours demanding adequate compensation, the SHO said adding that the blockade was lifted after the administration gave an assurance in this regard.
