Mani Ratnam hospitalised
Film director Mani Ratnam was admitted to Apollo hospitals in Chennai after he complained of dizziness last night. Doctors said there was nothing to panic and that the director is hale and healthy. He would be discharged after a day's stay at the hospital, said the doctors.
Sources close to the director's family said that it was just a routine check-up. The doctors adviced him a complete rest and said that he could resume work in a couple of days.
The 52-year-old director, who introduced Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman in Roja, is currently involved in a
project with national award winner Vikram, Abhishek Bacchhan and Aishwarya Rai.
He has directed widely acclaimed movies such as Bombay, Dil Se, Kannathil Muthamittal, Nayakan, Agni Natchatram, Anjali and Guru.u00a0
