Guwahati: A militant involved in the December 23 massacre in Assam’s Kokrajhar district was Saturday gunned down by security forces.
The slain militant was identified as Jeblang alias Jagat Basumatary, the platoon commander of the anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in Kokrajhar district, Inspector General of Police (BTAD) LR Bishnoi said.
Police recovered an AK-56 rifle, 22 rounds of ammunition, two grenades and incriminating documents from his possession.
