Cousin brother of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, Pooran Singh Yadav, on Monday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at his residence here, police said here.
Yadav (30), a former state president of Lohia Vahini of the SP, shot himself in the temple with his licenced pistol, they said. He was rushed to a private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
A family problem was said to be the motive behind Yadav taking the step. Senior police and administration officers have reached the spot and were investigating the matter.
