New Delhi: SC declines PIL to declare Bhagwad Gita as national text

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday declined to entertain a plea seeking to declare Bhagwad Gita as national text saying the subject falls outside its domain.

"How can we say. Every citizen has a mindset which is a sacred book. How can we give a declaration," a bench comprising Chief Justice H L Dattu and Justices M Y Eqbal and Arun Mihra said.
