A good breakfast for weekends, every day fill-me-up snack and easy dessert when rolled up with fruit, whipped cream or jam, a crepe is the Jack of All in French cuisine. Stuffings vary but the real deal is the actual wafer-thin pancake that enfolds them. The latest outlet of Crepe Station at Oshiwara does a palatable whole-wheat version without quite reaching gourmet valley. Fillings are aplenty. So, while our Pot Belly (Rs 210) had diced chicken dunked in a subtle sauce, the Al Pesto Exotica (Rs 170) had an intense pesto sauce over sautu00e9ed veggies.

We preferred the roomy downstairs area adorned with framed digital blow-ups of European landmarks. A brick wall stood in sharp contrast to the bright white and blue colour scheme. The cheery Bruschetta Caprese (Rs 140) dripping with melted mozzarella cheese that landed on our table, fit right in with the decor. So did the Thai Chicken Salad (Rs 190) and New York Burger. At Rs 220, it might seem steep, but the mutton pattice and large cheese slice topped with a fried egg in two sesame buns, made us forget the fare at the usual burger places.u00a0

This is a good place to drop in for breakfast after a night of partying. "Complete" Indian breakfasts apart, there are 14 continental breakfasts served with bread, butter and fruit juice. In fact, Hangover Remedy (Rs 190) is a Sunday bestseller with party people.u00a0
